Committies 

IMA members are encouraged to sign up for at least one committee per semester. Participating in these events is a great resume builder. Service on a committee brings with it added responsibility, and therefore points are awarded for your participation for outstanding committee member. You may sign up for as many committees as you would like and will be awarded points for participation. Additional points will be awarded for being the committee head.

Thanksgiving Box Committee 

  • Help with the making and distributing the Thanksgiving boxes:

    • Gather canned goods from members and help get the turkeys for the Thanksgiving boxes.

    • Prepare the Thanksgiving boxes (put the canned goods and turkey in the boxes)

    • Help distribute the Thanksgiving boxes (man the table)

Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Commitee (VITA) 

  • Help provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

    • Be able to pass the income tax training provided and become certified. 

    • Complete basic income tax returns with supervision.
