At Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) - USC Student Chapter focuses our energy on private accounting rather than just public accounting. We encourage members to explore the private sector of accounting as it has its own lucrative benefits. IMA's door is open for all majors.

We, as a club, invite guest speakers in our monthly meetings, and also take tours and get the behind the scenes information of different businesses. Previously, we had Frank Martin, Chad Holbrook, IMA presidents and many local business leaders speak about leadership and accounting. In the past, we have visited the BMW factory in Greenville, SC, Sonoco in Hartsville, SC, and other businesses around the state. This makes this club unique and helpful for all members. Our events vary for each semester.

The IMA club is also involved in the community. In 2016-17 we will provide the Thanksgiving Food Box for the janitorial staff, VITA (Voluntary Income Tax Assistance), and help sponsor scholarships for USC accounting students.
